Thank you Friends--nan, Jim, betty, sparkles and marstacy:

I slept two nights thru, and even late this morning! God is good. I have some perspective back, too. I miss my two kitties, but still have two wonderful ones to love. I marvel at how beautiful God made them.

The knee is still swollen, but that may last on/off for 6 months. to a year, I'm told. That's ok.

The back fusseth. I just pray I can work full days come next week.

I praise him that the back/foot/leg pain is about a 2-3-4 out of 10. 8 weeks ago, it was an 8 or a 7 out of 10. This is progress. Major! The bad thing about work is I can't sit and use a microscope with one leg propped up and to the side. I have to sit very straight and still. No back support, either--I'm just too short for most chairs to work for me , so I have a special chair that goes up pretty high. We will try to work on something, and I pray God gives me some clever ideas! Maybe I can get one of the hospital PT folks to consult ..........

May God bless you all. Nan, with a good path report, marstacy with a returned GD and a good hearing for your daughter, Jim with help for your mom and continued improvement for her, sparkles for a good recovery, and betty--hon, you bless/encourage everyone else, and if you have needs, I don't know about them. Love you, betty.

Oh my goodness, the 'shortness' you speak of is so familiar! I hope to make you laugh here: When I worked at OSF St. Francis, a very dignified and huge medical facility in Peoria, all the 'chairs' were high stools. At 5'1, my legs just dangled in mid-air. Very non-friendly to my back, knees, and leg muscles of all types! So, I finally found two things that helped. I either pulled open a huge drawer with my foot, and crossed my ankles and rested them on the rim, OR I had a garbage can full of just papers that I wedged in somehow and again crossed my ankles and draped myself over the top of the g. can.!!! I hope this makes you chuckle this morning!

Now!

Dear God, I pray that you bring a burst of strength and healing through the cells in OH2's body. Lord, please speak to the cells, the joints, the bones, the muscles, and tell them all to heal and cooperate.

Bring the pain level down to a 1 on a 0-10 scale, and then march it down to 0!

I have heard: If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed, so I ask for Jesus to come and take charge of this healing.

In Jesus name, I do pray!

hugs,
nan

Father, I lift up oh2binva and ask again today that you heal and help her in ways that we do not even know to ask for. Remove her pain and give her strength to get through the days ahead. Bless her with good health, deep sleep, rest, and renewal. Protect her from all harm and hold her in Your most wonderful and tender care.

I am praying in Jesus' Holy and Precious name,
Amen.

Dear Melissa, Sarju, Nan and marstacy--thank you, dear friends. I slept thru AGAIN last night!!!
And the back hardly hurt today. We had a lovely evening tonight and I sat on the deck and praised him for this deliverance!

NAN, my trash can!!!!!!!!! THIS MAY WORK!!!!! I have no drawers to pull out. But an upside down or full can may help, cuz it's light and portable and may fit under my open fronted desk. so everyone can see up my skirt. Just kidding. I will wear shorts under a cheap black skirt I got at Walmart today. maybe I can put towels or pillows in my can and make it soft. YOU ARE A GENIUS!!!!! Thank you!!!!!

I'm 5'1" too. And work at a Catholic hospital!

My sadness, if you can call it that, is that I am drained, not so much physically, but emotionally. The physical pain and the loss of two "kids" has taken its toll. The thought of going back to work more drained than when I left is ......sobering. It will be rough. I will need His help more than ever--if my back holds up, the emotions will eventually follow.

Thank you so for your prayers. May God bless each of you wonderful ladies with companionship/comfort, health/lack of pain, healthy kids and grandkids, and returning of GD and peace for DD's and Grandkids..

What a perfect description for our dear OH2! Thank you Lord that Oh2 has had so much less pain recently. I thank you for the smile she almost always brings to my face when I read her posts and how she seems to lift the spirits of so many others. I pray for her healing to continue with no setbacks and pray you will ease the grief she is experiencing for her beloved pets.

Father, I thank you for John, Nan, Jim, Betty, marstacy, melissa, sparkles, sarju and all others who have prayed for me and with me. I pray that you would bless these dear saints, and help them with any sadness, loneliness, illness or fear that they may have.

I thank you for this valley time, and it's been painful. but I know you better, trust you more, and have seen Your hand working in my life, largely because of these saints' prayers and Godly influence and tutelage. I've seen how you work in their lives thru this forum.

I thank you for little pain today, and pray this continues thru a long week ahead on my very special padded chair with my beloved elderly scope and thru long tedious meetings, with several late nights. Yow. I ask that my walking continue to get better and stronger.

Father, Let these precious folks know that even tho' I probably won't be able to post every day that I lift them up to you during my prayer time. Guard them all, Father. In Jesus' name--Amen.

Dear Lord Jesus, I have learned so much how You can help someone in the valley and they have become a blessing to me! And I am sure many others have been blessed by oh2binva's experience in the valley of pain and discouragement and how the sun (son) has been shining through her to us all! Continue to deadening the pain and make her a blessing to her coworkers. Help her to do a error-free work.In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Betty, nan and Sister---thank you sweet ladies!

Well, I'm whooped. 2 days down. But...praise God the pain is MANAGEABLE!!!!!!!! not gone, but SO MUCH BETTER THAN IT HAD BEEN. Thank you Jesus--your timing is perfect.

And I know it's because of your prayers. I know it. And a colleague needed to switch call, so I have a week to ease back in. Was Able to leave at 430 today and avoid rush hour and come home and do PT, even tho' it was hard to put one foot in front of the other.

BUT IT IS SOOOOO GOOD TO HAVE MY KNEE HURT WORSE THAN MY BACK. WooHoo!

And Nan, I have a big round HEPA filter in my office, and that is what I'm using, with a pillow on top. so it elevates my foot yet fits under my desk, and I can still fit my foot platform with my Dictaphone under too! (Too short to reach the floor with my feet when I'm up high enough to see in the scope). Believe it or not, it's hard to find a spare trash can in a hospital!

And I haven't taken a narcotic in over a week. :) GOD IS SO GOOD.
