((((((((((((((ROBERTA))))))))))))))))) Hope you've had some time to relax and de-stress a bit. Hopefully your 4 legged friend has been able to help you in that department too.

Who was there to look after him whilst you were away? He was probably being a terror because he was missing you and was bored. No regular walks etc. Have you been to see anybody about alternative pain treatments? I've got the second morning of the pain management course in the morning. It's only 2 mornings long. I'm pretty sure I slept through most of the first morning, (Friday). Let's see if I can stay awake tomorrow. Apparently we have some doctors and nurses coming in tomorrow.

How are all of you dealing with fibro? Earlier in the week, even just wearing clothing hurt. Don't worry. I was still dressed, and not running around naked. Occasionally I do have pain that bad. How about you?

My pain's been pretty much under control with this medicine. Though without it I would occasionally hurt when putting clothes on. It hurts to do ANYTHING without it for that matter, even lie still. Lately I've been having REALLY, really bad pain in my right shoulder. I think it has something to do with the way I'm sleeping, since it's mostly in the mornings. It's kinda weird though because it spikes if I take a deep breath. Other than pain, my hypersensitivity to cold is starting to bother me again. Next month we'll have highs in the 70s and it only gets colder from there. Man, I dread it. Cherish405, you are fortunate to be having summer around the corner instead of winter.

Our day time temperatures are slowly coming up, but our overnight temperatures are still in the 30s and 40s. Even though the day time temperatures are coming up, there's still a pretty big chill factor in the breeze. Was sitting outside with a jumper on this afternoon as the breeze was so cool. I don't like the cold temperatures either, but I find extreme temperatures, including hot weather, really bad too. If I had a choice of being hot or cold, I'd prefer cold. I can do lots to warm up. Not a lot I can do when I get really hot. I'm not looking forward to when summer comes. (It's only spring here). I've been getting really bad pain in my left shoulder, and I think it has something to do with the way I sleep too.

Not sure now if it's the way I'm sleeping because both shoulders are giving me problems now. Oh well. Tried the cortisone injections and it seems they're not as successful as I'd hoped. Had to run some errands today, and my body has been complaining about it since not long after I got out of the car. I hope it's not going to be like this for the next coming days. I think I know the answer to that anyway. I'm going to be paying for today's exercise.

I've never heard of it. Probably don't have that here. I hope it works for you. How are things going for you since the new addition in your home? Is it stressful? Is that stress affecting things and making your fibro worse? I hope that it's not causing a problem. I suppose some of the things to do with the baby could be a little stressful on your body. Picking the baby up, carrying him places etc Do you still take McGee walking?

(((((((((((((((((ROBERTA))))))))))))))))))))))) I'm so sorry that you are spending so much time in pain. It sounds as though you're going to have to sit your daughter down and tell her some home truths about what she signed up for in being a mother. She needs to care for her own child instead of leaving everybody else to do it for her. That would reduce your stress and hopefully pain. Are you any closer to seeing somebody about pain management?

I'm trying to get some good information together about fibromyalgia for a friend. Does anybody have any good links I could share with her?

How have you all been going with your fibromyalgia? I finally see the people at chronic pain management on Wednesday morning. This has been a long time coming.

Went to pain management this morning. Am now on lyrica, which is something my rheumatologist didn't want to put me on because it puts weight on me. I was told that everything that I could be put on to 'help', all put weight on me, so in that way, it's a no win situation. There's nothing he can put me on that will take all pain. I just have to keep going on even if I'm in pain.

Have you found the change in temperatures are affecting your fibromyalgia? AJ, how are you doing with your symptoms? How were you told to deal with them? My paraphrase of what the doctor said to me was, "Suck it up. You'll always be in pain. We can get the pain down a little bit, but can't completely get rid of it. You just have to keep going".

I'm doing alright, thanks for asking. Though having hypersensitivity to cold is torture right now. I'm thankful that winter weather usually only lasts 2 months here. I was never really told how to deal with it... My rheumatologist has told me about some kind of pain therapy that I could go to, but I don't think it's really necessary. I've found my own ways to deal with it and the medicine has helped a lot. What your Dr. told you is pretty much my mindset. I can't do anything about it so why bother complaining, you know? It may prevent me from doing some things that I want to, but Yahweh has a plan for me, so I'll just be content with what He gives me.

Thanks for the hug, Roberta. (((((((((((((((((((((ROBERTA))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) I do push myself to do things. Don't know whether some of the times were wise, but I do it anyway.

Roberta, I'm so glad that there has been something found that has finally given you some relief. Now, if only there were some way that you could get that pain relief the vast majority of the time.

How's everybody handling the stress around this time of year? Are you finding that your fibromyalgia is getting worse?
